DO YOU OFFER ONLINE COURSES?
Yes, we are doing interactive online classes using ZOOM during these unprecedented times.
WHY IS THE ONLINE COURSE ONLY 12 WEEKS?
Mounting and exhibition form part of the normal 14 week course and this cannot be done easily online, instead we will be arranging this at a later date once things return back to normal.
WHAT IF I AM NOT GREAT ON THE COMPUTER?
If you can make a phone call and access a smart phone, tablet or computer, we can help you step-by-step over the phone.
I AM SELF ISOLATING OR DO NOT HAVE ART SUPPLIES AT HOME, HOW DO I GET SUPPLIES?
Goodie bags will be sent out by post containing the supplies needed for each module.
DO I NEED TO LIVE IN THE AREA TO SIGN UP FOR THE ONLINE COURSE?
No, you do not need to live in the area to join the course online, although mounting and exhibition will be done at the normal venues once government guidelines change and we return back to normal. DO YOU HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes, our classes have a maximum capacity and are frequently fully booked.
ARE THE CLASSES SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?
Yes, each class starts with an introduction module, which is ideal for beginners. No previous art experience is necessary.
WHAT IF I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE WITH ART?
If you are a returning pupil looking to improve your artistic skills after attending a previous foundation-level art course with us, you will paint different projects to the beginners and receive a level of teaching that is appropriate to your experience.
HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?
The classes are 3 hours long once a week for 14 weeks. You can choose between a morning class or an afternoon class.
CAN YOU RETURN FOR FURTHER COURSES?
Yes. We have many returning students who have benefited from the improver courses.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?
Sometimes unforeseen things come up, we are happy to discuss this with you and do our best to help cover the missed lesson.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN A CLASS?
We limit numbers to a maximum of about 20 pupils on each of the morning and afternoon sessions, depending on the venue. This allows us to give each student the attention they require and provide individual supervision where necessary.
ARE YOUR LESSONS OVERSUBSCRIBED?

ARE YOUR TUTORS QUALIFIED?
Our art tutors are all fully trained and qualified and are also supported by experienced classroom assistants providing extra support. They run each lesson in a relaxed, friendly and fun way, while providing the highest quality of art education and professional tuition at the same time.

WHAT AGE RANGE DO YOU TEACH?
All of our lessons are intended for adults only, with attendees ranging in age from 18 to 90+. Many are ‘active retired’, keen to take on a new creative hobby now that they have a bit of extra time on their hands, and our weekly meetings offer a chance to socialise and mix with like-minded people, creating many long-lasting friendships.
WILL I BE ABLE TO PAINT & DRAW BY THE END OF THE TERM?
As you would expect, everyone learns at a different pace and the individual pupil’s levels of achievement inevitably vary, but our teaching will bring out the very best of your artistic talent, we promise! If you are willing to listen to the tutor and are receptive to what you are taught, you will become an ‘enthusiastic amateur artist’ and learn to paint competently by the end of the 14 weeks, creating pictures you will be proud to show to your friends and hang on your walls at home.
