Amanda Waite

We are very privileged to have Amanda as our tutor. Her passion for art is infectious and her commitment to teaching it tireless. She recognises the artist in each student and skilfully draws them out to identify their own style and expression.

The absolute beginner need have no fear of whether they can't draw or paint because she takes them step by step down a road of discovering just what they can do!

Besides her tutoring skills, Amanda has a compassionate, warm nature which bring an element of peace to our classes.

Raised in Scotland, Amanda now lives in Wimborne with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She has a BA Hons in Graphic Design, specialising in illustration. When she has time to herself, Amanda loves to wind surf, cycle and keep fit, as well as creating her own works of art.

Lindsay

Lindsay has over fourteen years experience as a teacher of both Art and Design and Textiles. As Head of Department in a Secondary School she strived to pass on her passion for Art to a huge number of students, many of whom went on to study the subject at a higher level.

With an interest for all areas of the creative process she has embraced many skills and techniques, gaining an MA in Art and Education in 2010 as part of her ongoing professional development.

After deciding to leave teaching she has focused on her own work, designing and making a diverse range of items that she sells online and through galleries such as Fisherton Mill in Salisbury. This has been in tandem with teaching adult workshops and selling at various artisan markets and fairs. She is inspired by nature, animals and the power of positive words, often combining all three in her own quirky style.
